 LOCATION, DATE AND TIME

Grand Ballroom – DoubleTree Hotel
Saturday, July 15th from 10am – 1pm

Players must complete their participation in the College Coaches’ Expo BEFORE they register for the Nationals. The Tournament Registration is from 1:15pm – 5pm on Saturday, July 15th.

 ELIGIBILITY

All players that have completed their junior year in high school as of July 1, 2006 may participate in the Expo. This includes accepted players as well as alternates in the Clay Court Championships.

 COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES PARTICIPATING

A list of all colleges and universities participating in the Expo will be posted in the College Coaches Expo area of the website as they register for the event.

 EVENT SUMMARY

This 2nd annual College Coaches Expo has been organized primarily with the college bound student in mind. We hope that the atmosphere is non-intimidating and casual, and it is a place where players can come and meet with coaches from around the U.S. and learn about their collegiate programs.

When a player checks in at the Expo, he will receive a nametag that includes the player’s name, USTA Section, and hometown. Parents will not receive a nametag, but they are welcome to participate. The coaches will have already received a list of all players in the Clay Courts as well as those on the National Tournament Alternate List. This list will include the name of the player, address, birth date, e-mail address, and USTA Section.

All coaches participating in the Expo will set up tables in the Grand Ballroom. Colleges and universities will have one or more of their coaches available, and information on the tennis and academic programs will be provided.

 NCAA GUIDE

The NCAA has dedicated a section of their website to a "Guide for the College Bound Student/Athlete." To access it, click here.

PLAYER BIO BOOK FOR ALL PLAYERS

Please prepare a Player Bio on yourself for the Player Bio Book. This is a fantastic way to get information about you to college coaches throughout the country. The tournament will compile the profiles into a book that will be made available to all the college coaches. Please send a picture either via mail or e-mail that you would like to have next to your information. A picture is especially valuable to the coaches so they can recognize you in the event.

Players who are not eligible for recruiting are still welcome to complete the bio and picture to get their info to the coaches. Even if you have graduated from high school, you are invited to be included in the Player Bio Book.

Player bios may be sent by e-mail to s03michelle@aol.com or by regular mail to

Jeffrey Szekely
1401 Rockville Pike, Suite 560
Rockville, MD 20852

All bios that are received by Monday, July 3rd, will be included in the Player Bio Book. If you do not meet the deadline, then bring copies of your bio form with you to the College Coaches Expo.

By submitting the Player Bio Form and/or picture, you and your parents/guardians are granting the tournament permission to use the information provided.

 COLLEGE BIO BOOK

The tournament will assemble a College Bio Book that may be purchased by players for $20.00. This book will be a compilation of the coaches/schools who attend the tournament and have provided general info about their program. The info will include school address, phone number, coach, division, conference and other pertinent data.

To view a sample page in the College Bio Book, go to the Download area and choose "College Bio Sample - University of Pennsylvania."

  Download Forms and Information Packets

A limited number of these books will be available at the tournament. If you would like to guarantee receipt of a College Bio Book, please send an e-mail to Michelle Standish.
